Privacy

Last updated: June 15, 2026

boticeli is built privacy-first. There are no accounts, and we keep as little as possible for as short as possible. This page describes exactly what happens to your photo and data.

Your selfie

Your original selfie is processed in memory to generate your looks and is never stored on our servers and never used to train any model. To create the looks, your image is sent to third-party AI inference providers solely to perform the generation; it is not retained for any other purpose.

Your generated looks

The looks we generate are held in transient storage for about 24 hours so you can unlock them in HD and so they can be emailed to you if you purchase. After that they expire and are deleted automatically.

Cookies & device id

We set one functional cookie holding a random device identifier (no name, no email) for up to a year. It lets us apply the daily free-generation limit and remember an HD unlock you've paid for. We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Payments & email

Payments are handled by Stripe — we never see or store your card details. If you purchase an HD unlock, the email address you give Stripe is used once to send you your HD looks (via our email provider, Resend). We also send ourselves a payment notification containing the timestamp, that email, and the amount — never your photos.

Analytics

We keep privacy-friendly, aggregate counts of anonymous events (e.g. how many photos were taken or unlocked) to understand and improve the funnel. These contain no personal information and no image data.
